BernBabylon (Conference Proceedings)

Open Access Policy

BernBabylon provides immediate open access to its content in accordance with the definition of by the Budapest Open Access Initiative (https://www.budapestopenaccessinitiative.org/) on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. The content is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International licence (BY-NC-SA 4.0) that allows others to share and adapt the work for non-commercial purposes with an acknowledgement of the work's authorship and initial publication in this series. Any adaptation of the content has to be published under the same CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 licence.
BernBabylon does not charge any article processing charges (APCs) or article submission charges (ASCs) and does allow the author(s) to hold the copyright without restrictions.

Peer Review Process

The papers presented at the BernBabylon conference and the subsequent recordings published in the conference proceedings go through a peer review process. After an initial review by the editors, each submission is evaluated by members of the scientific committee (https://bernbabylon.unibe.ch/about_us/).

Publication Ethics

BernBabylon endeavours to ensure the high quality of its publications. It adheres to high standards of ethical behaviour and expects them to be adhered by all parties involved in the publication. This includes the author, journal editor, peer reviewers and publisher. BernBabylon follows the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (https://publicationethics.org/oversight) for the preservation of scientific integrity.

Plagiarism and Reproduction Rights

BernBabylon is committed to publish only original material that has not already been published or reviewed elsewhere. Any manuscript that raises concerns about plagiarism will be checked and cases of plagiarism will be sanctioned.

The legal responsibility to obtain the reproduction rights of any visual, literary and/or audio content published in BernBabylon lies by the author(s).

Conflict of Interest

Reviewers, authors and editors must disclose any and all possible financial or non-financial conflict of interest in regard to the audio and video recorded conference paper. If unsure, the series editors should be contacted.

Archiving

To ensure the long-term availability of scientific information, the contents of the series are archived on the Zenodo repository (https://zenodo.org/communities/bernbabylon/records)
